Steve Bloom - Wildlife photographer & writer

Born in South Africa in 1953 Steve Bloom first used the camera to document life during the Apartheid years. In the early nineties, during a safari holiday, his interest in wildlife emerged. Steve Bloom's concern for the environment is strongly evident in his images; he strives to capture the animal's spirit.

He has won awards for his work and his books have been published in twenty languages.

The outdoor exhibition in St. Stephen's Green, Dublin, during the Summer of 2007 was a major event which attracted thousands of visitors.
